ALLY RESOURCE HUB

Allies who support women and marginalized people in the game are crucial to making a more equitable soccer culture. Dive into these WIS action tips and resources to see how we can work together to change the game:

PROMOTE GAME-CHANGING CONNECTIONS

All of the players you coach or support in the game would benefit from connecting with more women and marginalized people who are leaders in soccer. Encourage your team to join the WIS squad and connect with role models who can inspire their future careers on and off the pitch.

SUPPORT WOMEN WHO COACH — 1% OF TOP COACHING LICENSES ARE HELD BY WOMEN

YOU can help change these numbers! Start by watching Coach, a movie that follows Tracy Hamm’s journey to earn the internationally renowned UEFA A license. You’ll be blown away by her grit! Then, inspire your own team to follow in Tracy’s footsteps by doing a screening of the film at your own club followed by a workshop with Tracy. Just send us an email at [email protected] and we’ll make that a reality.

ADVOCATE FOR MORE WOMEN TO WORK IN SOCCER

We NEED more women and marginalized people working in soccer to be visible for future leaders in the game. Let your players know that the WIS squad is getting members jobs in the industry. AND if there are any job openings at your organization, email us at [email protected] so we can add them to our jobs board. As an ally, we encourage you to use the network to find talented candidates. Your next hire may just be in the WIS squad!

ALLYSHIP IN ANTI-RACISM

Our network is a space committed to dismantling all forms of prejudice so that soccer culture can reflect the diversity at the heart of the world’s game. These resources will help you be an advocate for racial equity in soccer and beyond!

LGBTQIA+ ALLYSHIP

The WIS squad is all about action so here are resources designed to educate and promote ways to uplift our incredible queer athletes. EVERYONE belongs in sport!

COACHING RESOURCES, MENTORSHIP & MENTAL WELLNESS

The best coaching styles consider the “whole athlete” which is why we spotlight organizations that support mental wellness. As allies, we encourage you to learn from these companies and spread the word to your players who might benefit from their resources.
