The 2023 Women’s World Cup lived up to the immense hype and more, smashing records and cementing its place as the biggest event in women’s soccer history!

• This year’s tournament hosted a total of 1,977,824 fans at the 64 games in New Zealand and Australia.
• Around the world, the final was watched by approximately 2 billion people!

Throughout the summer, we spotlit 11 soccer industry trailblazers who worked tirelessly to make the tournament such a triumph for women’s soccer. In our WWC23 Starting XI Behind The Teams campaign, we saw the World Cup through the eyes of a head coach, designer, social activist, content producer, operations manager, and more! All with the goal of inspiring YOU, the mighty WIS squad, to see yourselves in the game as future industry leaders.
